Conheça o SUS – Como funciona, quem tem direito, como funciona o novo aplicativo

Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) was created in 1988, amid a deteriorating political and economic context. Health indicators have been improving continuously since the creation of the SUS, but they also show signs of stagnation or worsening.

The unified health system is an integrated network of hospitals, clinics and research institutions that interact with the Ministry of Health, Municipalities and other agencies and foundations. The SUS is structured around primary care, which begins with welcoming the population.

Primary care is the main gateway to the system as it focuses on prevention and treatment of most health issues. Secondary hospital care and assistance services are also part of the system. The unified health system emphasizes that prevention is a family health strategy.

SUS

The SUS is responsible for the vast majority of health services in the country. It covers 75% of the population, with a quarter of citizens having private health insurance.

SUS covers the entire population for certain procedures, including emergency care, mobile emergency care service and blood transfusion. These procedures are considered universal public services.

Other high-cost procedures, including vaccination programs, are included under the SUS. Despite the differences, the SUS is not sufficient justification for doubling the number of citizens who have private health insurance.

Such changes suggest that the SUS is not sustainable in a poor economic model. Since the introduction of the SUS, the Brazilian health system has expanded, resulting in improvements in health conditions and a reduction in regional inequalities.

Brazil’s health system monitors various data sources and uses them to develop programs targeting the most vulnerable populations.

Health planners in Belo Horizonte developed a health vulnerability index, classifying censuses within cities according to sanitation conditions, household characteristics, and early mortality indicators.

Who is entitled to SUS?

The Unified Health System has also been a stumbling block for many reformers in Brazil. The system risks being a disaster, and the future of the country’s healthcare system depends on how well it is implemented.

The new law is intended to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone. The new law is designed to ensure that all Brazilians have access to affordable, quality healthcare.

The Unified Health System in Brazil has a long way to go. The first step towards universal health is improving access to health care.

In 1988, the recently adopted Federal Constitution proclaimed health as a human right, and the SUS is an example of this. The SUS focuses on equality and enables the government to implement cooperative federalism. Although the Unified Health System is free for all, it represents a great financial burden for the State, especially for those 75% of the population.

What services does the SUS offer?

The healthcare system focuses on comprehensive care, collaboration and communication. An interprofessional team includes a variety of healthcare professionals who work together to provide a comprehensive treatment plan.

It includes doctors, nurses and other health professionals who collaborate to provide care. All services provided are aimed at health care in general, completely free of charge.

How does Conecta SUS work?

The Ministry of Health launched a new service, called Connect Sus, to allow Brazilians to access vaccine information on private networks.  The SUS Informatics Department provides this service. You can find contact information for this department on the Connect Sus website, where you can fill out a form.

Topics covered by the form include safety, accessibility, urbanity and equality. You can also find information about other services provided by SUS. The Ministry of Health also launched the Connect SUS application. This app makes it easy to monitor Covid-19 vaccination across the country.

It allows users to see the batch number and dose administration date. This prevents individuals from having different doses from different labs.  The SUS app is also accessible online for easy access. It is a very powerful tool to monitor the vaccination process.
